I think I wrote about this on my blog before, but I go to Tokyo about once a month.
If you just look at the words ``working during the day and drinking at night,'' it seems like the same thing as in Osaka, but since the work mainly involves purchasing goods, the content is completely different from usual.
Of course, I enjoy talking to customers and selling clothes in the store and I love it, but when I work as a buyer like this, I feel a sense of responsibility because it's a job I've always dreamed of.
I was in Tokyo for three days this month, from the 5th to the 7th, mainly for the 25SS exhibition of a certain brand.
It was a very exciting time for me as it is a brand I have always loved.
The brand will actually be unveiled to the public around February next year.
I feel both the desire to tell you quickly and the desire to make you wait, but I think it would be a waste to tell you in this message now, so I want you to look forward to it.
Because I'm confident that I was able to purchase very compelling clothes.
I really get my energy from the city of Tokyo and the people who live there.
I was born in Kobe and currently live in Osaka, so I'm a true Kansai native.
I can't help but feel fascinated by Tokyo, the capital of Japan, and even though I visit there every month, I always discover something new.
Needless to say, Osaka is a big city, but I feel jealous of the big city that is Tokyo.
The brand I'm introducing today is also one that was born in a big city.
And it's world-class.
VAQUERA is a brand born in New York, USA.
VAQUERA
VAQUERA was founded in 2013 and quickly made its mark on the New York design scene with its playful collections.
Describing itself as "fashion fan fiction," the brand fuses pop culture references with the avant-garde sparkle of designers like John Galliano and Martin Margiela.
Artistic yet mischievous, VAQUERA's gender-neutral design has earned it a cult following among forward-thinking fashion fans around the world.
As I wrote in my previous blog, we will be carrying eight new brands this season.
I think it has the perfect balance of being urban and unique among them.
Although it is bustling and glamorous like New York, and has a party-like sparkle, there is also a somewhat cold air about it.
I think it's a truly cool and energetic brand.
It definitely fits perfectly with the Elephant atmosphere.
SCATTREED DOLLARS T-SHIRT
The T-shirts, which are sized to fit just right, are filled with the punkish image of graffiti on American dollar bills, as well as hearts, the brand logo, and the Statue of Liberty, creating a pop and cute look that is so typical of New York.
FURRY HAT
And the headgear also made a big impact in the LOOK.
(Jamiroquai was the first that came to mind.)
With a wig-like texture, volume and details like the two pigtails, this hairstyle will undoubtedly add a unique touch to your autumn/winter ensembles.
When it comes to fashion , when I think of TROMPE L'OEIL, the first names that come to mind are Jean Paul Gaultier , Martin Margiela , and COMME des GARCONS , but I also really like the catchy tricks that Vaquera shows off.
