Basically, the intention of this blog is to be aimed at our store's customers, but I also think it serves as a personal diary for me.
It may be right for a clothing store to just write about the details of the clothes, but I like things like movies and music (and of course clothes) that allow me to understand and read the emotions and thoughts of the creators.
That's why I hope that this blog will be easy to understand and that people will feel a sense of closeness to me and the shop I write about.
It may be rude of me to write something like this, but I wanted to just write a preface because I think this article will clearly show my emotions and level of excitement.
Currently, 24AW items are steadily arriving in the apparel industry, creating an autumn/winter mood in stores, but we buyers started purchasing items more than six months ago.
What kind of items do our customers like? This applies to both regular customers and new customers.
As a buyer, I feel very rewarded at that moment.
While we have these feelings, we, the staff, love clothes just like you do, so there are many items that we personally want and clothes that get us excited.
Among them, the item I was most looking forward to arrived from a certain brand.
POST ARCHIVE FACTION
This is the world of Post Archive Faction (PAF).
Launched in 2018, this Korean menswear label fuses avant-garde sportswear with futuristic outerwear to create fantastical collections that stray from the mainstream fashion industry. As an "anti-fashion" brand, PAF's worldview is expressed through the unconventional, the underground and the useless.
PAF resists easy categorization, but its use of high-tech fabrics, reflective textiles, transparent PVC materials combined with asymmetric tailoring, crinkle techniques and panelling makes it unmistakably post-apocalyptic. Trousers, jackets, shirts and sweatshirts are deconstructed and reassembled to transform the familiar into something unfamiliar - this is the magic of PAF. The collection, in grey, black and white, expresses an aesthetic that resonates with an eerie and desolate world, and its inventive and measured designs exude PAF's anti-establishment attitude.
PAF 7.0 COAT CENTER
The duffle coat is a classic among coats.
Ever since I was a student, I have admired duffle coats, which give off an air of excellence.
It has a mature yet somehow youthful feel to it with its hood, cute patch pockets and toggle buttons, and other details that are unique to duffle coats, which makes it stand out above the rest.
This duffle coat was interpreted through PAF's unique worldview to create a one-of-a-kind coat.
The material is 80% wool and 20% cashmere, so it has the weightiness of a heavy outerwear piece while also being delicate, soft, and excellent at retaining heat.
The most eye-catching toggle button.
The buttons are three to four times larger than those found on a typical duffle coat, and are finished in jet black, typical of PAF.
While retaining its practical design, made to be easy to open and close even when wearing gloves in cold regions, the zipper is evenly installed 360 degrees front and back.
Personally, I love how it stands out as an accent on the hood.
PAF's signature asymmetrical pattern changes its look depending on the wearer, creating an impressive appearance.
I was reminded once again that the black color produced by PAF is truly convincing.
As I wrote earlier, I have always had a personal desire for a duffle coat, but there weren't many that really suited me and I thought it might never happen for me, but I have finally found my ideal one.
Since PAF has only just been launched, it may be appropriate to introduce all of the items, and it may be off the mark to suggest a coat when it is still hot even though it is September, but I really wanted to put this initial excitement into writing.
Although it is a fairly expensive item, I would like you to choose it as the one piece for your closet, and I am sure you would not be able to find a more stoic and upright duffle coat in the whole world.
I can't wait for the season to come soon so I can wear this coat.
This will definitely be my best purchase of the year.
