On a personal note, I recently celebrated my 27th birthday.
Even though it was my birthday, it didn't have the same excitement I felt as a boy or when I was in my early 20s; it just felt like I'd turned another year older.
(In fact, I don't even feel that way.)
In my favorite rock music, there is a term called "27 CLUB" that is like an urban legend.
Many famous rock stars die mysteriously at the age of 27, and it seems they made a deal with the devil to give them excellent musical talent in exchange for dying at the young age of 27.
So, personally, I feel a bit nervous about turning 27.
(Obviously, I'm not a rock musician and I won't live long, but I want to stay healthy.)
Many of the customers who come to Elephant and the other staff members are young, so I'm always thinking about how I can, as the store manager, buy and suggest clothes without being overwhelmed by the energy of younger people.
I want to stay young forever, but at the same time, I also want to become a dignified adult apparel store clerk.
I don't really have any desire to be respected; what's most important to me is for the people around me to feel happy and enjoy themselves through Elephant.
(For example, it could be buying clothes to work hard at your part-time job, or clothes to wear on a date with a girl you like, or your desire for approval. Anything is fine.)
Anyway, I've decided to make this a year in which I continue to enjoy fashion and clothes, so I hope you will continue to support me, who is now 27 years old, and THE ELEPHANT Osaka store, which is 1 year and 3 months old.
