June is over and half the year has passed.

I'm sure everyone who reads this blog also felt like it went by in a flash.

It's hard to believe that the NAMACHEKO party in Tokyo was just two months ago.

Recently, I go to Tokyo once a month to drink with the members of THE ELEPHANT, and to see my subordinate Ryoga DJ for the first time in Osaka. (As expected, I drank so much that I have a vague memory of the latter half of both events.)

My friend was doing a food event so I went to that and had some drinks...

The Osaka store is opening this month and they're having a one-year anniversary party, so I'm sure I'll get drunk.

However, I often watch movies alone at home, and have seen over 100 movies so far this year.

= That means I haven't been leaving the house at all, but that's definitely due to the rainy season.

The rainy season. I had imagined it would start in mid-June, and then we would enter the dry summer months in July, but it arrived later than usual.

Of course I don't like getting caught in the rain, but I really hate the humid air that makes you feel like you're trapped in a steam bath and your shirt sticks to your skin with sweat.

I walk from my house to ELEPHANT every day to work, and by the time I get to the store, sweat is running down my forehead.

If it was really hot like summer, I'd be okay with it, but I just can't stand the humidity and it's a problem.

(But I really like watching the rain while drinking beer on the balcony at night. I'm talking about alcohol again...)

At a time when temperatures are so severe, ELEPHANT has launched a new brand, HELMUT LANG .

HELMUT LANG

Anyone who loves fashion or clothes has undoubtedly heard of this brand at least once.

HELMUT LANG, which started in the late 80s, has been a much talked about brand ever since its inception.

It is still fresh in our memory that the popularity of normcore in recent years has spurred the popularity of the brand's archive items, and at the same time, the appointment of PETER DO as designer for the current LANG line has also been a hot topic.

HELMUT LANG can be summed up in one word: minimalism. On the surface, this may be the correct word, but in reality, the brand throws sudden, high-speed curveballs at you, both in its current and archive collections.

(Actually, I've always wanted an item called MUMMY PANTS from the archives...)

ELEPHANT has been stocking the archives of HELMUT LANG, but from now on, the current collection supervised by PETER DO will also be available in stores, which is very exciting.

Lightweight knitwear and polo shirts made from elegant, soft merino silk.

The seat belts that caught our eye in the LOOK are featured as details on the trousers and cut-and-sew tops. They are also included with the graphic tee, making them perfect for the coming season.

(Seat belts are attached to the left and right sides of the rib.)

What personally captured my heart was the TUX CAR COAT.

The thick line that is symbolic of HELMUT LANG is expressed through the switching of materials, and the highly lustrous rayon combines elegance and sexiness.

(I like how it goes well with the NAMACHEKO frill shirt I recently purchased, it has a classic look.)

A classic pattern with peak lapels and a fly front. It's a perfect piece.

(It's just above the knee. It can be thought of as a coat or a long tuxedo.)

It can also be worn as a set with trousers made from the same fabric.

Seat belts are inserted in place of side stripes.
It is these accents that show the depth of the new HELMUT LANG.
Personally, I thought this was a great detail.

(Personally, I think that HELMUT LANG, which PETER DO promotes, has a good image of classicism, minimalism, and beautiful patterns, but with a touch of "modern sexiness.")

Helmut Lang is a brand that everyone, new and old, would love.

THE ELEPHANT is probably the only one operating in Osaka.

Those who loved his work back when he was still in his prime, those who have now come across the archives in stores or online, and even those who are fans of PETER DO.

I want many people to try it on.

It launches today, July 2nd.

(The graphic tees will probably run out soon...)

Please stop by when you have time.
