DAUAN JACARI

Dauan Jacari is a New York–based fashion brand founded in 2019 by artist DJ Chappel. Formerly known as Duality Junkie, the label stands out for its fusion of art and garment design, producing unique, sculptural pieces with depth and movement.

With a background in dance and craftsmanship, DJ explores how form and silhouette influence both body and mind. His work is also rooted in his African American heritage, reinterpreting culturally stereotyped materials—like boxer shorts or bobo hair accessories—into bold expressions of identity.
