Lately I've been really into billiards.
I started going to golf once a week after being taken there by a senior colleague at a clothing store who I'm friendly with.
I frequent this bar on the third floor of a multi-tenant building in Amemura, where there are two billiard tables permanently installed and foreigners are often seen.
Even though there is a sign outside, it is in a rather complicated location so I think it would be difficult to find at first glance, so I wonder how everyone finds it...
Billiards. I thought it was just hitting the ball with a stick, but it's actually quite deep, with a lot of speed, strength, and where to hit the white ball with the cue. In my free time, I study by watching videos on YouTube like "Improve your billiards skills!"
Yesterday, my senior, a junior from a nearby second-hand clothing store and I were hanging out until after 5am.
If I write any more it will turn into a billiards blog, so I'll stop here, but if you're interested or good at billiards, please let me know.
The first blog I wrote for Elephant was about NAMACHEKO's derby shoes, and as I probably wrote there, I really love NAMACHEKO.
(I ended up buying some derby shoes too.)
The AW24 items arrived a while ago and I had intended to write an article about them, but many of the clothes sold out so quickly that I completely missed the timing.
However, the item I was most looking forward to this season actually arrived in the second delivery, so I would like to introduce it to you.
As the title suggests, it is a three-piece set with black vertical stripes.
A collarless jacket, trousers, and a coat.
Made from 100% VIRGIN WOOL, the jacquard weave brings out the texture of the material and is naturally suitable for autumn and winter.
The stripes are not printed, but woven, giving them a slight sheen.
The combination of this luxurious fabric and eccentricity is very NAMACHEKO-like and it really appeals to me.
JERED TAILORED JACKET
What struck me the most was this no-collar tailored jacket.
To begin with, I like to wear tailored jackets casually like a blouson, and I already own several, but I've been looking for a collarless jacket that suits me.
When it comes to collarless jackets, the first thing that comes to mind is undoubtedly the CHANEL tweed jacket.
I always admired the way foreign celebrities casually wore CHANEL jackets and paired them with blue jeans and sneakers, and thought they looked so cool.
However, the beauty of CHANEL really stands out when worn by women.
Plus, I don't wear sneakers and prefer something more masculine and classic.
However, since it is an item that combines elegance with the casual look of a no-collar design, the perfect balance and size are very important, and I feel like I have finally found it with NAMACHEKO.
The boldly cut collar is elegant yet has a hint of punk, and the rounded wooden buttons, a specialty of NAMACHEKO, are very cute.
However, the design also features zigzag stitching in white thread, giving it an artisanal feel.
And above all, the open neck.
Generally, I don't like clothes that are tight around the neck, so I really like silhouettes that show off a little bit of my chest tattoo.
A classic shirt tied up with an elegant style is masculine and classic. I also like wearing it casually over a tank top or T-shirt for a relaxed look.
(By the way, the shirt is also from NAMACHEKO. I bought it because the frill shirt + stripes were just perfect. Before I knew it, I was collecting a lot of striped items.)
CLINT TAILORED TROUSER
A collarless jacket and trousers that can be worn as a set.
NAMACHEKO releases unique and eye-catching trousers every season, and this season they feature lace-up hems.
I personally love how the metal tip at the end moves every time you walk, which is really cute.
The center crease gives it a classic look, while the slim silhouette and striped pattern make it a perfect match.
Of all pants, I absolutely love trousers, and I wanted NAMACHEKO trousers to always be in the spotlight, so I took this opportunity to order some.
(I also ordered the jacket mentioned earlier, so I'm looking forward to wearing them as a set during the fall and winter.)
NUKU OVERCOAT
Lastly, the highlight of this season is the overcoat.
Only a coat can show off the luxurious fabric mentioned above over a wide area.
She chose a Balmer coat with raglan sleeves that isn't too pretentious, and I think it strikes a great balance between a heavy feel and not tiring to wear.
The lining of the collarless jacket introduced first is cupra, but this overcoat is made with a 100% cotton lining and features thin stripes.
I also own a coat with a 100% cotton lining, and the way it becomes worn out with wear is endearing to me.
It has the same wooden buttons as the collarless jacket, and the hem is laced up just like the trousers. It's a luxurious take on the best of both worlds.
I purchased NAMACHEKO coats for AW23 and SS24 as well, and each time I feel that they have an overwhelming aura.
Continuing from last time, I've been introducing the clothes I like (and have purchased), but if you have any questions about NAMACHEKO, please ask me.
I want you to experience what it means to be your "best outfit."
